What the buyer should look at
Compare the length and compactness of the heat-bonded base, the fan opening above it and the consistency from fan to fan. Ask for close-up samples instead of relying on tray-level photography.

Short-root premade fans
A shorter bonded area creates a compact base and can support a dense-looking lash line. The real test is whether the root stays controlled during pickup and placement.

A longer visible stem changes the way the fan is picked up and positioned. Product photography must show the actual stem clearly; the description should never rely on a generic premade-fan image.

Sample both under the same conditions
Compare equal curl, length and fan density where possible. Record pickup, attachment, fan stability and the finished lash-line result so the selection reflects the artist's workflow rather than a name alone.
